COURSE SUMMARY

Welcome to Backyard & Container Growing, an evening workshop with Christina Nikolic of Stewardship Landscape Design. Low cost solutions and starter kits to grow your own food anywhere! Learn to create a farmer's market on your front doorstep and a grocery store on your windowsill. Plants have special nutritional and moisture needs when grown in pots. Learn simple tips like turning food scraps into fertilizer and how to use organic matter to keep soil moist.

Christina lives and works as a self-employed landscape designer and environmental educator in Victoria, BC. She obtained her university degree in Landscape Architecture in Germany and has added certificates as Master Composter and Organic Landscape Manager since coming to Canada ten years ago.
