We have made every effort to keep membership and class fees as low as possible, but we realize that finances may make it difficult or impossible for some students to attend the classes they want and need. We realize that present lack of cash in no way reflects your value to the program or your right to learn the sustainability skills we are offering. In the spirit of equity, sustainability, and the vision of the world we are focused on creating, we are structured, in part, based on a barter system. In fact, our non-hierarchal structure and lack of paid staff means that we rely solely on our barter interns and students for much of the operation of this program – without them, our classes could not continue. Once approved as a barter student, you will be able to take however many classes you wish to barter for, in exchange for providing services to the Earth Masters program itself by choosing from a wide variety of tasks and applying your own truly unique gifts.

Community Liaison / Recruitment Officer

(Communities throughout BC)

Recruitment Officer (barter) positions available to one or two people in every community throughout BC. Do you attend many environmental and social change events in your community? Are you a master networker? Can you deliver public info sessions or deliver flyers?.... then you can apply as a barter student to the Earth Masters Program on Vancouver Island. 70 classes in earth arts, how-to, hands-on education. Self-structured, designer education program models available. Two-day, six-day and full year courses. Work at your own pace, choose your own specialty, whether for Classroom Teaching, Project Assistance & Field Instruction, Maintenance & Mechanics, or Field Design for Home/Project Use and Development.
