Registration Fees: Finding the Money

All students, including barter students, must pay the Annual Registration Fee for the membership Stream they have chosen. We encourage you to think creatively about how you can raise this money. Talk to local community groups, environmental and conservation NGO’s, sustainability-oriented businesses and people you know in your neighborhood, to see if they might be willing to sponsor you in some way. Explain why this program is important to you and how you will apply the skills you learn in the EM program to your community and to creating a more sustainable world. If you need a letter outlining the nature of the program, just contact us. You might also consider organizing a work bee or a fundraiser. Ask friends, neighbors and family if they have any odd jobs that need doing. Use your imagination – fundraising is more fun and less difficult than many people realize, and it is an invaluable life-skill in the non-profit world, as well as for making things of this nature possible, in your own personal life now and in the future. If you feel stuck for ideas or unsure how to proceed, contact us for further help and support. We can send you a THANK YOU certificate for your sponsors to display proudly and any number of hand-out flyers or bookmark calendars that you or your sponsors may wish to give out.
